Delete your Oikos Bible account & data

Delete your account in the app

1. Open the Oikos Bible app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile → Account.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately. If you want a copy of your data first, use Profile → Privacy → Download my data before you delete.

No access to the app? Ask us by email

Write to info@oikosbible.com from the email address of your account, with the subject "Delete my account". Writing from that address lets us confirm the request is really yours. We answer within one month.

What is deleted

Your account and all your personal data are removed immediately from our live database, including:

• your account: email address, name, profile photo, password hash, linked sign-in methods and sessions;
• everything you created: highlights, bookmarks, notes, prayers, your Oikos list, comments, answers and uploaded files (files still used by journeys or trainings you published are kept with that content);
• your group memberships — and the groups you lead, which are deleted;
• your devices and notification tokens, your preferences and your consent record.

What is kept

• Journeys and trainings you published remain available without your name or profile photo, together with the files they use, unless you ask us to remove them — you can do so at any time (see the Terms of Service).
• Backup copies exist for disaster recovery. They are kept for a limited period on their rotation cycle — for some backups up to two years — are access-restricted and are never used for anything else. If a backup ever has to be restored, deletions made since are applied again.
• Anonymous aggregate statistics, such as daily totals, which do not identify you.
• The application's own logs are deleted after 30 days; server and proxy logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
• Analytics events sent before you signed in carry only an install ID: they are not linked to your account and expire within 90 days.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You can delete individual highlights, notes, prayers, people and other content in the app, remove your profile photo, unlink YouVersion, and switch off analytics in Profile → Privacy.
